Attendance

Students in grades Pre-K - 12 may have no more than five (5) unexcused absences per semester to remain eligible to receive course credit.  A student who accumulates a sixth (6) unexcused absence during a semester will receive an F-6 (No Credit) for the course. Students may recover credit for unexcused absences by participating in after-school tutoring or other approved programs offered by the school.  All attendance make-up requirements must be completed before the end of the current semester.Students remain eligible for excused mental health days when the mental health excuse procedures are followed. Parents/guardians may submit up to five (5) parent excuse notes per school year to excuse absences that are not associated with a doctor's appointment.
